Many FHS Alums wonder where their retired teachers are now and how they reflect upon their careers at Fairhaven High School. We recently met up with Naomi Shaw, retired English teacher and department chair and asked her for a photo and some reflection on her years at the “castle on the hill”.
Read more >>The 27th Annual Light-a-Light fundraiser officially kicks off on Thursday, November 3, 2011 when the annual FHS Alumni issue of THE ADVOCATE will go into the mail to over 6000 FHS alums across the country. This fundraiser is the major source of revenue that the FHS Alumni Association Board of Directors uses to fund a number of valuable projects during the course of the year. In the 2010 Light-a-Light Campaign $22,045 was received from 819 donors from across the country. Those names will be published in the Light-a-Light issue.

Read more >>The 2nd Annual “Fairhaven Turkey Trot for Health and Hunger” will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2011 with a 5k (3.1 mile) race starting and finishing at Cushman Park. Race organizers are five FHS graduates of the Class of 1999 (Emilia Crotty, Jillian St. Pierre-Zangao, Colleen Kennedy, Shannon Lewis-St. Pierre and Lisa Matheson) who are donating all proceeds of the event to local food pantries.
Read more >>The Fairhaven High School Alumni Association has announced the awarding of $13,100 in Teacher Mini-Grants to FHS teachers and staff to be utilized during the 2011-2012 school year at the high school. This is the third consecutive year that these mini-grants have been given to the teachers, and represents the largest annual amount given to date.
