On Sunday evening June 27, 2010 the FHS Hall of Fame honored the 1956-1957 Fairhaven High School Football Team coached to a 6-2 record by legendary Coach Mel Entin. The team was presented by Gil Santos ‘56. Read more >>On June 15, 2010 the FHS Alumni Association successfully transplanted a beautifully shaped 22 foot Colorado Blue Spruce Tree on the west lawn of the high school to replace the previous tree that was destroyed in a fierce January storm. The new tree was generously donated to the Alumni Association by the Acushnet Fire Department and was expertly transplanted by the Patrick Dale Tree Moving Co. of Falmouth, MA.

Read more >>Fairhaven’s Homecoming Weekend kicks off on Friday evening, June 25, 2010 from 5:00 - 6:30 PM at Fairhaven High School with the 5th annual “Evening of Taste”. First started in 2006 as an event to honor the 100th birthday of F.H.S., the event received such rave reviews, that the Fairhaven High School’s Alumni Board of Directors decided to make it an annual event on the Friday evening of Homecoming Weekend. Over twenty local businesses and restaurants serve up samples of some of their specialty food items as alumni and friends of FHS roam the corridors and classrooms and share memories of their days at the high school. The evening usually attracts 700 - 800 people, so try to get there early if you can. There is no admission charge, but donations are appreciated at the door to help defray the costs of paper goods, soft drinks, custodians, etc.
Read more >>The annual Sunday morning All-Class Breakfast Buffet has very quickly become one of the great Homecoming traditions. The event is hosted by the class holding their 50th Reunion, so the Class of 1960 is organizing the buffet this year from 8:00 - 11:00 AM on June 27th in the FHS cafeteria. Courtyard Restaurant, owned and operated by Matt Gamache ‘78, prepares an outstanding breakfast buffet for just $10 per person. Tickets are limited and are not sold at the door. At the conclusion of the breakfast the Class of 1960 will be unveiling a stained glass window that will be hung in the Rotunda that joins the 1906 building with the new addition.
