Light-a-Light 2011 a Huge Success

For the second consecutive year the Light-a-Light fundraising drive surpassed the $20,000 plateau.  A total of 725 donations were made by FHS Alumni and friends of the high school for a grand total of $20,660. The average donation ($28.50) is the highest that we have ever received in the 27 years of the fundraiser.

The FHS Alumni Board of Directors continues to be amazed at the response that we have been receiving to our annual Light-a-Light Drive.  Our alumni base across the country and across the generations of our fellow graduates remain very connected to our unique high school.  Once again the Class of 1948 had the largest number of donations (51) made by classmates and in the memory of deceased classmates.  Many notes and cards were enclosed in the donation envelopes expressed the love and devotion that our alumni have for Fairhaven High School.  Many of the notes were very supportive of the projects that your FHS Alumni organization continues to implement on behalf of the beautiful building and its students and staff.
