The Colorado Blue Spruce Tree used by the FHS Alumni Association for the annual Light-a-Light effort each holiday season fell victim to one of the fierce January storms and could not be saved. As a result we are searching for a suitable replacement to transplant in the spring or summer so that it can take root before the next winter sets in.
If anyone can help supply us with a lead for a new tree that we can transplant onto the west lawn of Fairhaven High School, we would be very appreciative. A number of alums have already contributed to our tree replacement fund by using our PayPal link on our website or by mailing a check to “FHS Alumni”, P.O. Box 6, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Please contact us at: if you know of any tree that might be a good candidate for the replacement of our fallen tree. This could be a tree from someone’s back yard or from a tree farm in the area. We have a company lined up to do the transplanting work, and we need to find a suitable tree. We would appreciate any help we can get.
