Recently the Fairhaven High School Alumni Association awarded $10,200 worth of Teacher Mini-Grants to enhance classroom instruction at Fairhaven High School for the 2010-2011 school year. Pictured are some of the members of the FHS Alumni Board (center) surrounded by the teachers who will be using the mini-grant funded equipment in their classrooms.
The FHS Alumni Association has established a strong partnership with Fairhaven High School and is thrilled to be able to provide some vital technology and classroom equipment that the school budget could not afford in these tough financial times. Some examples of the technology / equipment that was provided includes: several “mimios” for the History and English Departments which are technology devices that allow the whiteboards in the front of the classroom to be used interactively by students and teachers; 6 LCD Projectors for the World Language Department; and an HP ScanJet, Iris Pro V.12 Software for the Math Department. The teachers and administration at Fairhaven High School were excited when they were presented the news of the funded projects at the final teacher’s meeting at the close of the 2010 school year.
