Evening of Taste - 2010

The 5th Annual Evening of Taste on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Fairhaven High School was the scene of one of the largest crowds yet for this unique culinary event. In the photo are some of the large crowd in the Media Cnter / Library (old round gymnasium).  Twenty local restaurants and businesses offered samples of their specialty items at food tables scattered around the building.  Over 700 alumni, town residents and friends of FHS wandered the building admiring the architecture and catching up with friends and classmates while sampling tastes of these outstanding establishments.

The Evening of Taste has quickly been established as the “kick off event” of the annual Homecoming Weekend, and it is now customary for classes that are having their reunion weekends to start off by meeting up at this gathering.  Several classes gathered in Room 7 for group photos as they took a break from the food tasting that was going on in the hallways of the main building.  Local restaurants that participated this year included Margaret’s, Elisabeth’s, Pasta House, Riccardi’s, A Kitchen Asian Cuisine, Sivaili Thai Kitchen, Wah May Restaurant, Courtyard Restaurant, Hot Rod Grill, Turk’s Seafood, Endzone Sports Pub, Ice Chest, Cox’s Chocolates, Southern Mass. Credit Union, Mike’s Restaurant, Mermaid’s, Sweet Ginger and Ninety-Nine “99” Restaurant.  We are extremely grateful for the generosity displayed by these businesses who make it possible for this special evening to be so successful.
